How we create our cookies & cakes
All our cookies and cakes are handmade to our specially designed recipes.
We really believe that the time and care we take in creating and decorating our cookies and cakes makes them little pieces of art and that is what makes our cookies and cakes look and taste amazing.
As we make all our scrummy treats fresh to order, colours and design will alter slightly, but we truly believe this is what adds to the uniqueness of our cookies and cakes.
Cookie Ingredients
Our vanilla cookies are made with the freshest ingredients which include plain flour, butter, caster sugar, golden syrup, baking powder, whole eggs and vanilla extract. We use sugar paste icing and royal icing to decorate which may contain various colourings.
Colourings used may include: E260 E422 E551 E104 E133 E124 E102 E129 E122 E555 E171 E110 E153 E1422
Cake Ingredients
Our cakes can be made in a variety of flavours - victoria sponge, Madeira, chocolate, lemon or rich fruit.
Ingredients used include self raising & plain flour, caster sugar, eggs, vegetable fat, butter, baking powder, dried fruit (raisins, currants, peel), lemon juice and rind, cocoa powder.
How long do they last??
Our cookies will last 3 weeks, as long as they are stored in a cool (not refridgerated) environment in an airtight container.
Sponge cakes will last up to 1 week if stored in the same way and fruit cakes considerably longer (up to 3 months).
Allergies
Although our recipes do not contain nuts, all of our cookies and cakes are made in a kitchen where nuts may be present.
Prices
The prices for our cookies start at £1.75 & for our cakes they start at £40.
However, all cookies and cakes are individually made to your requests so please contact us for a personal quote.
For our single cookies there is a minimum order of 6 cookies. However, if you order a box, then you can order individual cookies as well - less then 6 if wanted.
Payment
Currently we can only accept cash or cheques, made payable to 'Cookie Chic'.
However, credit cards coming soon.
